The fitting room - how to use

Our brand-new sizing recommendation tool ‘The Fitting Room’ is now available on a select number of products and lets you input your child’s measurements to generate a suggested size for their garment. Follow these simple steps to find your child’s size:

On the product details page, select the button that says 'Find your size'.

Enter your child’s gender, height, weight and age into the sizing tool. The tool will then generate measurements for your child’s chest and waist.

You can now adjust these suggestions to ensure they’re accurate for your child.

Use the sliders to adjust the comfort levels depending on how snug or wide you’d like the garment to be. The suggested sizes will then change in accordance with any adjustments made.

Our recommendation tool will then present you with your child’s suggested size.

To find the right size for your child you will need five key measurements, these include the chest, waist, height, inside leg and collar. Advice on how to take these measurements is given in our easy and quick size guide videos, all you need is a tape measure that can be used to take measurements around the body.

Sizing Tables and Additional Help

We recommend checking your child's measurements before buying, using our top tips to ensure the best fit. To get the most accurate measurements, where possible measure over the undergarments most likely to be worn, rather than over outer clothing.

Please Note: All of the sizes of our garments are given in inches.

Height: This is best done barefoot, with feet together flat on the ground and back against a wall; measure from the top of the head to the ground.
Neck: Place the tape measure where the shirt collar would normally sit around the base of the neck. Leaving a little extra room is very important so that the collar is comfortable, so make sure not to pull too tightly.
Chest: Take the tape measure through the underarms, around the fullest part of the chest.
Waist: Measure the natural waistline, not pulling too tightly to ensure comfort.
Hips: Standing straight with the heels together, take the tape measure around the fullest part of the bottom.
Inside leg: This time shoes on; measure from the inside leg to where the trouser is normally worn on the shoe. If you're unsure, trousers should sit approximately 5cm from the ground.
